Javon Johnson • “cuz he's black" (Animation)

I collaborated with poet Javon Johnson and Button Poetry to animate and produce a short film based on his powerful spoken word piece about a Black father’s fears for his son growing up in America. The animation earned several honors, including Best Animated Short at the San Diego Asian Film Festival and an IMAA 4 Award from AIAP.
